Acquisition represents pivotal shift within direct mail industry, closing the gap between digital & traditional marketing
MINEOLA, NY — January 13, 2015 — Full-service online and traditional advertising, marketing and public relations agency, Didit, today announced that it has acquired Plainview, NY-based Type-A-Line Mailing Services (TAL), according to an announcement by David Pasternack, president, Didit. The acquisition allows TAL to expand its offerings to include digital marketing services, while giving Didit entrée into new markets for growth and adding to the agency’s already robust communications offering.
TAL is a family-run business that was formed in 1962 as Type-A-Line, and has become a leader in direct mail services on Long Island. It has provided fulfillment and mailing services to a wide array of clients from large international corporations to local retailers. TAL will undergo a rebranding and its name will be changed to Didit DM. The company will be led by industry veteran Patty Brehm, who has joined Didit DM as CEO, and Don Scotto, TAL vice president. Prior to joining Didit DM, Ms. Brehm was the Director of New Business Strategies at Mailmen Incorporated. The new entity will continue operations at TAL’s 30,000-square-foot facility at 30 Commercial Court in Plainview.
“The combined force of TAL and Didit will give clients and prospects a full and unparalleled range of marketing services, from postcard to post-click,” said Mr. Pasternack. “TAL has been able to survive and thrive in the midst of a number of changing market conditions throughout its history by shifting with the times and adapting to new technologies. As a Didit company, that model of sophistication and success will continue.”
“Didit and TAL share the same business philosophies and cultures, all centered on providing our clients with personalized customer service and attention to creativity and detail,” said Mr. Scotto, whose mother started the company as a home-based business.
“By joining forces with Didit, we are able to continue our efforts in staying ahead of constantly shifting business trends and offering our clients a one-stop total solution for all of their marketing needs,” said Ms. Brehm. “We are looking forward to the incredible growth opportunities this new arrangement affords us, our employees and our clients.”
